Pay pal coupon codes and Pay pal Review

Posted in Services, Shopping

Paypal.com is an online system that allows users to send money and receive money from anyone, anywhere in the world. Pay Pal was acquired by eBay in October 2002. The advantage that Pay Pal offers buyers is that they are able to purchase items online without revealing the details of their financial information. Users register an email address and a credit card. However there is a monthly limit on the credit card which means that unless you register a bank account then the amount you can spend each month is restricted. With a registered account users can pay by credit card, bank transfer or e-cheque.

Customer Support

Customer service can be contacted by phone or by email. Pay pal also has a dispute resolution centre in which users who have not received the goods that they paid for can contact the seller. If the dispute cannot be resolved then Pay pal will decide whether money should be refunded to the buyer.

Site Usability

Navigating your way around the Paypal.com is easy. You can quickly check recent payments sent or received, and if you are involved in a dispute you can check on the progress of your complaint. Pay Pal coupons can be used at the checkout and they are easy to use. Simply type in the coupon code and the discount is applied immediately. Pay Pal coupons are a bit different to coupons for other sites in that generally they are sent out to a limited number of accounts. However, you could try ‘googling’ on pay pal coupon or visit a website such as jimmysdeals.com.au that is dedicated to sharing such information.

Good Points & Bad Points

Paypal.com has a lot of critics; in fact it even has a website dedicated to its excoriation, paypalsucks.com. It acts like a bank but is not actually a bank and is therefore not covered by the same financial rules as banks. It is also an American company and some users outside America are unhappy about giving their banking details to a company that is not covered by the financial regulations of their country. Another problem is that although Pay Pal offers to get buyer’s money back for them if they are defrauded it can only do so if the seller has money in their Pay Pal account. Some people have had their Pay Pal accounts hacked and ended up paying for boats and other expensive items that they had not purchased. Sellers also complain that Pay Pal is too biased towards the buyer and that they have had their account frozen or refunds issued due to fraudulent claims by buyers. Its customer service is generally considered to be pretty dire.

On the other hand many people do use Pay Pal and are happy with the service. It is very easy to keep track of your payments sent or received and it is very easy to move money between your Pay Pal account and your cheque account (if you are confirmed).

Jimmy’s Comments

The best advice if using Paypal.com as a buyer is to set up a separate bank account with a limited overdraft so that Pay Pal cannot clear out your main account if someone uses your Pay Pal account fraudulently. Also if you are paying for expensive items, use a credit card (try to get one with a lower limit than your everyday card) to pay. Some people have got their money back when Pay Pal failed to get them a refund by asking their credit card company to issue a chargeback. Also do not leave money in your Pay Pal account, for one thing you do not receive interest on the money and if you make a payment using Pay Pal it will always take the money first from your Pay Pal account. Watch out for the charges. Pay Pal has a range of charges for people outside America for certain actions which can work out quite expensive. Finally don’t use a password that is related to your personal details such as your date of birth, and change it regularly. If you are a seller, there are alternatives to Pay Pal such as Real Merchant, so if your business wants to accept credit cards check out some of the other options. Their website can be found at www.paypal.com.au.
